U12 Season Finale from the Manager

Confey FC won their second place playoff match on Saturday morning (May 15th) securing their second runners up finish in two seasons.
The Players worked very hard all season and no more so than on Saturday when coming from behind to beat Cabinteely. Sean Kilbane (2), Achmed Shariff (2) and Dean Malone (1) were the goalscorers.
All Players took part in the game and each one of them performed at a high intensity level during the game. Cabinteely themselves played well but the work rate of the Confey kids made it very difficult for the South Dublin Team to win what was a very clean and fair game.
Defender Andrew Gibson has, unfortunately, played his last game for the Team and will be sorely missed next season. I am sure that other Players are ready to fill his boots if they continues their teamwork, enthusiasm and hard work they put in from week to week.
Many thanks to all the Parents and Supports that were at the game. As a Manager it does help to have you there to help motivate the Players.
