Match Report : Confey 0 : 3 Esker Celtic

As with our previous encounter with Esker, goals were hard for Confey to come by. That didn't stop a huge effort to reverse the last result. Led by Kyle and Sean B up front, the Esker defence kept out a number of shots. Harry and Jake kept supplying in midfield and stopped a number of attacks. The defensive line of Jack, Sean M and Tim held well with Luke between the posts. The crucial minutes before half time went Esker's way as they scored with a shot.

Adam, Davin and Nevin came on in the second half and kept up the energy but Esker still held us out. A penalty was awarded for an accidental handball and Luke amazingly got a hand to it before it slipped in the left corner. Esker got a third to end the contest but Confey piled forward for a consolation only for Sean B's lob to go barely over the bar. No shortage of effort and good sportsmanship.
