0.1 GAMES & FIXTURES
0.1.1 FIXTURES
The Official Schoolboy Fixtures are published each Tuesday in the Star Newspaper, City Edition Soccer Supplement - Target. Fixtures are also published on the DDSL Website(WWW.DDSL.IE).
The Official Leinster Senior League fixtures are published in the Evening Herald each Monday.
If errors or omissions occur, in either of the above publications, the relevant Team Manager should contact the relevant Fixture Secretary to seek clarification.
0.1.2 POSTPONEMENT OF GAMES
The DDSL league requires a minimum of two weeks prior notification of any request to have a game postponed. Managers should ensure that the Club Secretary is given adequate notice to allow compliance with the Leagues deadlines.
0.1.3 CANCELLATION OF GAMES
AWAY GAMES
Park Rangers inspect the pitches in the various County Council and Corporation areas on Thursday or Fridays. Any pitches deemed unplayable are listed on 'RTE Teletext (Page 219) on Friday afternoons. Managers should confirm matches are off by way of phone call to the Fixture Secretary. The DDSL also publishes on their Website (WWW.DDSL.IE) details of alterations to weekend fixtures.
HOME GAMES
Confey pitches are inspected by a designated pitch co-ordinator - Tony McGiff. The Fixture Secretaries will inform managers of decisions regarding playability of pitches.
0.1.4 SUMMER TOURNAMENTS
The Club hosts an annual summer tournament. This event is an opportunity for new players to have contact with the Club and for the existing players to compete in a great fun day.
0.1.5 FRIENDLY GAMES AND INTERNAL FRIENDLIES POLICY
Managers should consult with the Club Secretary when arranging any friendly games on home pitches. The DDSL League does not permit friendly games during the playing season.
0.2 Practicalities
0.2.1 TRAVEL
Club policy is not to provide transport for away games. Managers should encourage parents to make themselves available to transport players to the relevant venues. In exceptional cases a bus may be hired, with the prior sanction of the Club Treasurer. Managers should collect subscriptions from the players to contribute towards the cost of hire. Players should wear safety belts when travelling in vehicles. Managers should not carry passengers in excess of the insured capacity for the vehicle they are driving.
0.2.2 OFFICIAL DRESS CODE
The Official Club attire for players is a green & white hooped jersey, white shorts and green socks. Managers should insist on all players conforming to the dress code when representing the Club. All substitutes should wear a tracksuit, rain jacket or some other garment over the club jersey when in the vicinity of the playing area. The club supplies jerseys to each team.
The Official Club attire is supplied via O'Neill's. The club crest displayed on the left breast. A sponsor can be acknowledged on the opposite breast. A manager who has secured the necessary sponsorship must give his order details to the equipment officer.
CLUBS WITH SIMILAR COLOURS
The following is a list of clubs who wear jerseys very similar to Confey F.C.
- Valeview/Shankill, Shamrock Rovers, Carriglea F.C., Castleknock Celtic, Clondalkin / St Francis, Rathcoole Boys F.C., Granada F.C., Palmerstown Utd, Cabinteely Boys, Knocklyon Utd and St Teresa's F.C.
Managers should ensure that they have the change strip available when playing these teams at home - available on request from the club equipment coordinator.
0.2.3 TRAINING FACILITIES
In the event of a conflict of times/dates/facilities, the Football Sub-Committee following discussion with each manager, allocates each team training times and venues.
Confey Park - located on the Jarretstown Road, first left after Confey GAA. (Designated areas only)
St Catherine's Park - located beside Glendale Meadows (Designated areas only). Pedestrian access is available via Glendale Meadows.
River Forest Bowl - located between Phase 1 & Phase 2 of River Forest.
All Weather - to be used when the grassed areas are showing signs of wear and tear or the weather has made these areas unplayable. Team Managers should collect subscriptions from Players to cover the cost of pitch hire.

0.2.4 PARKING
Managers are asked to inform Players, Parents and Supporters of the limited parking available in the vicinity of Club Facilities.
RIVER FOREST BOWL
To avoid obstructing the entrances of local resident's homes, parking should be avoided along the edge of the Bowl opposite houses numbered 523 to 513. The relevant manager must place cones along this roadway.
CONFEY COLLEGE
Parking is limited on the approach road to College. Every effort should be made to avoid obstruction of local resident's homes.
CONFEY PARK
Parking for approximately 30 vehicles available. Drivers are requested to park neatly to allow the maximum number of vehicles inside the parking area. Drivers should be discouraged from parking vehicles on the roadway outside Confey Park.
ST CATHERINE'S PARK
Car Park is available for vehicles entering the Park via the Black Avenue, off Mill Lane.
0.2.5 PITCH EQUIPMENT
Confey Park
A permanent set of Eleven-a-Side posts is erected. Nets, Stakes, Flagpoles, Lime and a Pitch Marker are stored in the containers. Training poles, training hurdles and agility ladders are also available at this location.
Confey College
A set of Eleven-a-Side and Seven/Nine-a-Side posts along with Nets, Stakes, Corner Flags, Lime and a Pitch Marker are stored in the container.
St Catherine's Park
A set of Seven/Nine-a-Side & Eleven-a-Side Posts, Nets, Corner Flagpoles, Stakes, Lime and Pitch Marker, for use in St Catherine's Park, are stored in a container in St Catherine's.
GENERAL
Managers should take particular care to ensure all mobile posts are firmly staked to reduce the danger of collapse. In particular nets should be wrapped around the grounding stakes before being pushed firmly into the ground. Guidance leaflets on the erection of posts is available from Football Subcommittee. Any defects with posts should be reported immediately to the Equipment Co-Ordinator.
If Lime is in short supply the Equipment Co-Ordinator, should be contacted to ensure it is made available. In emergency situations a Manager may purchase a bag of lime in a local builder suppliers and be reimbursed. Managers are required to refill water containers for mixing of lime and cleaning of pitch marker. Care should be taken when tearing of bags to use lime to avoid inhalation of powder. No mixing of lime or cleaning of equipment is permitted in the vicinity of houses.
0.2.6 GRASS CUTTING
The Club has acquired a Tractor and Cutting Equipment that will have the capacity to attend to all the Club's grass-cutting needs. The Pitch Coordinator should be contacted, in good time, if any playing area requires to be cut.
0.3 Club Policy
0.3.1 MATCH CARDS & RESULTS
Each Manager must report the results of games played ( home or away) to the Club Secretary, on the day of the match.
All seven and nine a side teams playing at home must complete an 'Official Match Card', which should be returned to the Club Secretary on the day of the match. Blank match cards are available from the Club Secretary.
0.3.2 COMPLAINTS / PROTESTS
If you have a doubt about the qualifications of any player on an opposing team you are permitted to secure, at half time, a photograph of the opposing team. Any request for a photograph must be made via the referee. The protesting team is entitled to request up to four player signatures at half time only. The signatures of substitutes, or the players they replace, may be requested via the referee at anytime.
Details of any complaint should be referred to the Club Secretary. The Club Secretary may examine an opposing team's Registration Form and lodge a formal protest, within three days of a game (Sundays & Bank Holidays excluded). Only the Club Secretary may commence a formal protest procedure.
0.3.3 REFEREES
Each league appoints a referee for all Eleven-a-Side games. Fees are payable, at the appropriate rate, by the home team. Managers should collect adequate subscriptions from the players to cover these fees. In Cup competitions the referees fees are shared by both teams.
The home team supplies the referee for all Seven-a-Side and Nine-a-Side matches. No fees are payable. The League may recommend that each team should referee half the game in the case of Cup matches.
