Health and Safety Guidelines
HEALTH & SAFETY
Managers and coaches are reminded that they owe a duty of care to players during the time they are training, playing or travelling to and from games.
Care should be taken to ensure that the exercises or routines inn which players are involved are suitable to the age and experience of the players. Particular care should be taken where females and males are involved in mixed teams.
At all times a Manager should have at least one other adult present when dealing with Underage Players.
At all times any male Team Manager, with a female player(s) on his team should have one parent of the player present. Alternatively a female adult may be nominated by the player's parent to act in 'loco parentis'. The parent should communicate this to the team manager.
Parents should not permit younger players to walk to or from Confey Park.
All persons should take particular care when exiting Confey Park on foot or in vehicles.
In the event of lightning, no persons should take shelter in Steel Containers. All steel containers should be earthed and where this is not apparent should be reported to the Equipment Coordinator
Managers should ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place for the return of small-sided players to their parents or another adult acting in loco parentis, at the end of each match or training session.
Parents of small sided players should be informed of the requirement to arrange collection of children at the end of each match or training Session.
